About Occupational Therapy Degrees
What this is
Occupational Therapy Degrees lists schools and the specific occupational therapy (OT) and occupational therapy assistant (OTA) programs they run: entry-level degrees, pre-OT pathways, post-professional programs, research degrees and certificates. For each program we record the exact official award, the professional pathway, who accredits it and with what status, how coursework is delivered, what must be done in person, and costs and deadlines when the school publishes them. Each fact carries a source and a verification date.
Institutions, campuses and programs are kept separate. A university may be headquartered in one state, teach in another and enroll online students from a third, and fieldwork can happen somewhere else again. Those are different facts.
What it is not
- It is not an accreditor, a licensing board or a certifying body, and is not affiliated with ACOTE, AOTA, NBCOT or any state board. A listing does not mean that a degree leads to a license, that you will be admitted, or that you will be eligible for NBCOT certification. See accreditation and licensure.
- It is not a league table. Our editorial selections are unnumbered, explain their criteria and cannot be bought.
- It is not an application service. Applications happen on each school's website or through the application service it names, such as OTCAS.
- It does not cover every program yet. Coverage is tracked state by state, and gaps are shown as gaps. “No verified program found” never means that none exists.
How it is funded
Basic factual listings are free. The site is funded by clearly labeled sponsored placements and advertising; see the sponsorship disclosure. Sponsors cannot buy verification, accreditation status, editorial recommendations or a place in our selections.
